Introduction
If you would like to let your beloved ones know where your are, using Here and There is very simple and very easy to integrate into your daily life.
Main Screen
As you start you application for the first time, the application detects that it is your first time and propose you a screen name. This name will be used as your position page. You can change it anytime.
If you choose to publish your location, the app finds your position and send it to a specific web page that your relatives can access at the following URL : http://here.ripplemotion.fr/whereis/[YOUR SCREEN NAME].
Technical note : The [SCREEN NAME] part will be transformed as usually recommended in a “slug”. A “slug” is a short label for something, containing only letters, numbers, underscores or hyphens. It is generally recommended to use only lowercase URLs. For the sake of this example, we have used [Bob] as a screen name, so in this case, the URL is http://here.ripplemotion.fr/whereis/bob/
Once the application knows your position, it writes the address on the upper left corner of your screen. If it communicates with the server, you should see animated “waves” going to the satellite.
Push the pin
If you push the blue pin, the application enters a protected mode preventing anybody to access your position page. You are then in a “Locked” state and the pin becomes red. Anybody accessing your position page from now on will only see a lock.
For the people who where already looking at your position page, they will be warned that you have decided to lock you position and they will see the following screen :
If you push the red pin, you start publishing your position again.
Touch the screen
As you touch the screen, a toolbar appears and let you :- change your screen name,
- invite a friend to see where you are using mail,
- see your position web page using safari,
- lock/unlock your status
